Some Classic Advertising Campaigns for the Mini Cooper

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

An important part of the mini cooper’s success has always been its ingenious marketing campaigns. Distinctive adverts included references to the car being part of the in’ crowd, and presented as totally different as the people who drive it’. While emphasising the high quality of the car’s suspension, and its handling on tough roads, many adverts made the most of its appeal to younger drivers as a sportier model that could also be driven by a range of different people. This type of advertising was indicative for how the Mini Cooper was branded to fit into contemporary British pop culture, but also for how it became associated with economy and fun for many different drivers. In this way, the Mini Cooper was able to find success by emphasising both youth and its appeal to wider generations of car drivers lured by something different, and by the car’s excellent performance and handling.

I Do the Car Waxing Myself

Friday, January 27th, 2012

One of the greatest things that I enjoy about having a car is the thrill of having to clean it myself. In my own belief, there is no better person that can clean a car other than the owner himself. This may be the reason why I never leave the cleaning of my car to a third party. I wash my own car, inside and out. Every three months, I also do car waxing to give my car more protection against the rain, UV rays and asphalts. Finding the car wax that best suits my need was made simple through the various Car Wax Reviews that I came across through the Internet. I use Turtle Wax T-412R Ultra Gloss Liquid Wax and right now I am very satisfied with its performance. With the car wax, all the shallow scratches in my car become invisible. It is also very easy to apply since all you need is to apply a thin coat of the wax on the car.

Suspected DUI Driver Was Released in Sacramento

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Recent DUI arrests in Sacramento have been making the news. One in particular was amusing since the news made an issue of the fact that the person who had been arrested was released the following day. It stated that a Sacramento DUI lawyer had made arrangements for the suspected DUI driver who was involved in a motor vehicle accident with injuries to be released the following day. The article insinuated that the lawyer had made arrangements that were underhanded. The reality is much less exciting.

The Sacramento lawyer had merely met with his new client and made arrangements for the man to post a bond before trial. The American system of justice values the concept that a person is innocent until proven guilty. The ability to post a reasonable bond is protected by the US Constitution. The posting of a bond is just an insured promise that the person will appear in court at a later date.

Discussing the Case with a Dothan AL DUI Attorney

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

I asked the Dothan AL DUI attorney what kind of trouble my wife was in. She partied a little too hard the other day, and the police caught her driving when she was intoxicated. I am ashamed of her, and I feel sad for her reputation. Once her boss hears about this, I hope that he still lets her keep her job. She has always been great about these things, but she has been feeling a bit down lately. I can totally understand why she drank, but I just do not understand why she had to try to drive home in the condition. I discussed with the lawyer about what he can do for her. It is amazing how knowledgeable he was about everything that will take place. He laid it out for me, and he told me not to worry. He knew what he was doing. All we can do now is wait for the court date.

A Couple of Problems with Plastic Bed Liners

Saturday, January 7th, 2012

Frequently Asked Questions And Answers on Cartridge System | SprayMax ...If not for a couple of problems then the plastic bed liners would be a clearer choice as a best bed liner but the facts are that the drop in bed liners are capable of doing some damage to beds when they are there to protect the beds. Here is how that can happen and a possible solution. Plastic liners are not sealed in such a way that water is kept out very well. Water getting under the bed is not necessarily that big of a problem though. When it becomes a problem is if you have bare paint under the liner. If liners move around much at all you have a good chance for paint to be worn away. Wind passing over the liner often sets up some vibration that will in time wear at the paint and give you that bad bare spot. Couple that with a plugged drain and the accumulation of water and bare metal spells real trouble. The DualLiner bed liner gets at this problem by using the molded plastic only on the sides of the truck and the floor of the truck is a rubber bed mat. That makes it much simpler to monitor the condition of the bed and especially the drain holes. This liner is a way to get the advantages of the plastic liner without some of the problems.

Boxster Convertible Tops – What to Look for

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

When you are looking for aftermarket auto accessories the choices can be very overwhelming; there are so many websites that offer a dizzying array of products. One trick that I have found to weed out the good from the bad is to pay more attention to features than brand name. For example, I recently had to narrow down the choices for Boxster convertible tops for my Porsche. First of all, my Porsche is my daily driver. I live in an area that has extreme climates (hot and cold). Instead of looking for the most expensive top I look at the features of the product. The one that I chose offered a heat sealed seams rather than the need for stitching. I knew that this would benefit me because the material will contract and expand with the temperature change. Another feature that sold me on the product was that it guaranteed the fit; I find a poor fit to be the number one problem I experience with after market accessories. So, in short, look for features that will work well with your environment and usage. Also, make sure you can return it if it doesn’t work for you. After a time you will find a favorite dealer for your aftermarket auto accessory needs that you can trust.

Getting My First Brand New Car

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

I always thought that it is so easy to buy everything that you want. I always thought that all your dreams will come true. It does not really happen all the time. I realized that only when I started to earn on my own. Money is hard to earn but easy to spend with. I have always wished to buy my own car. When I was young, I said to myself that I will give myself a car once I get a job. It was not that easy because, first, I was not able to find a job right away after graduation, and, second, my first salary was only enough to sustain the basic needs of my family. But I did not stop hoping and praying for my dream. I applied to other company that has higher compensation package, and you know what I really liked best? The company offered free driving lessons. The company has expert driving instructor that can really help new drivers, like me, learn how to drive fast. It was all like heaven sent. A car and a driving lesson both came at the same time.

Used MINI Cars

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

I was completely surprised when my son told me that he was going to purchase himself a Used MINI. After all, my son is the type of guy who would normally be found in a pickup truck at a basketball game. However, after he explained to me that this is a very cool little car, I realized that he was probably right. I told him that I wanted to see this car and possibly go for a ride in it. After all, I have heard many wonderful things about this little tiny car. They are definitely cute to look at from the outside. When I found out that I could easily afford to purchase myself a Used MINI, I was so happy. After all, I have always wanted to drive a car just like this. However, I always thought that they would be more money than I could ever afford to spend. It seems to me as if the gas mileage is going to be amazing on this car. I cannot wait to go down to the dealership and take one for a test drive. I hope that my husband will agree to go for a ride in it with me. After all, he is a tall man.

International Car Shipping – How is It Different from Domestic Auto Transport?

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

A few decades ago people were afraid to buy and sell products through online and were afraid to send items to longer distances like to another country. But now it has become very familiar because internet has reached even the remote places and people no longer fear to send items to distant places. Car transporting too has become very familiar with a number of companies are there to help you.

is facing growth in numbers almost every day. People send cars as gifts or order luxury cars from others countries frequently now. International car shipping is now a phrase that is quite common to most people now. The boat transport companies started to give many assurances that would encourage the people to send cars across the globe.

Boat and vehicle transport companies provide all kinds of insurances for the safety of the items transported. Transporting cars through boats is much cheaper than transporting through air. Boat transport companies take more time to deliver the car but are cheaper than air transportation. The only advantage in air transportation is quick delivery of items.

The cost to ship a car is many times cheaper than transporting through air. Shipping a car may take longer but you can be assured that your car will be much safer. In case your car gets damaged, you don’t have to worry as the insurance will cover the expenses. But that happens only in rare circumstances. When transporting your car within a country through roadways it is much cheaper than the cost to ship a car. However international car shipping is very expensive when compared to inland transport. If you want a costly luxury car from a foreign country then there is no harm in spending a few bucks to get it at your garage.

How to Choose the Right Booster Seat

Friday, June 10th, 2011

Choosing the best booster seats for your child is a very important factor in keeping your child safe while he or she is riding in a vehicle. The first step in the process is to get a booster seat that is made for your childs size. Many places state that a child needs to be in a booster seat from ages four through eight, but it is not safe for the child to continue to use the same booster seat for that entire period due to the fact that their body is growing. An eight year old child is too big to safely ride in a booster seat that is made to protect a four year old and the larger models of booster seats can not properly hold a small child. Once you get the proper sized booster seat, you must make sure that the safety straps are properly placed in order to secure your child. If the straps are not correctly placed on your childs body, they could cause more injuries in an accident or cause the child to fly out of the booster seat.

Mitsubishi L200 Interior

Friday, April 29th, 2011

My sister had been talking about getting a newer vehicle, but I did not expect her to show up at my home driving a new Mitsubishi L200. I went outside quickly to take a look at it. The leather interior was plush. It had all the bells and whistles that most new vehicles offer. She said that she got a great deal with a low monthly payment. She received financing right there at the dealership so the entire buying process only took a couple of hours. She mentioned that she kept her old car thinking that my daughter may want to use it when she goes to college this fall.

My brother was hired at a local Mitsubishi dealership last month. He was telling me about the great deals that they have on their used Mitsubishi L200 vehicles. I have been looking for a pick up truck but did not want to give up the space that I have in my four door sedan. My brother suggested that I look at the double cab pick ups on the lot. They are a popular vehicle these days and they have proven dependability because the L200 has been around for a long time. I told him that I would stop in to take a look sometime this week.
